Established in 2013, the Community College of Skill Development embarked on its journey by offering a one-year diploma course in Welding and Electrician fields, achieving an exceptional feat with a cent percent placement record for its graduates. As part of its commitment to staying responsive to industry demands, the college expanded its portfolio in subsequent years. In 2016-17, it initiated a Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning in collaboration with Daikin through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This strategic partnership facilitated access to state-of-the-art training tailored to industry standards. Continuing its trajectory of growth, the college introduced Diploma and Bachelor in Vocation (B.Voc) courses in the 2018-19 academic session, enhancing the breadth of educational opportunities available to students.
Anticipating the evolving needs of the job market, Community College of Skill Development launched a forward-looking program: the Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science & Analytics, commenced in 2019-20. With an increasing array of skill courses and a steady stream of skilled graduates, the Community College of Skill Development actively contributes to the government’s Skill India program, playing a pivotal role in bridging the gap between education and employment opportunities.
In 2022, the Community College of Skill Development expanded its academic offerings by introducing two groundbreaking programs: the PG Diploma in Anti-Drone & Autonomous Technology and the PG Diploma in Philosophy of Communal Harmony & Social Justice. These additions underscore the institution’s commitment to staying abreast of emerging trends and addressing pertinent societal issues through education. The PG Diploma in Anti-Drone & Autonomous Technology equips students with specialized skills to navigate the complexities of unmanned aerial vehicles and autonomous systems, while the PG Diploma in Philosophy of Communal Harmony & Social Justice fosters critical thinking and understanding in promoting societal cohesion and advocating for equitable social structures.

STATUTORY

Bachelor of Vocation (B. Voc.) a Bachelor level degree specified by UGC under section 22(3) of UGC Act, 1956 and notified in official Gazette of India dated 19th January, 2013 be recognised at par with the other Bachelor level degrees for competitive exams conducted by Union/State Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission or other such bodies where the eligibility criterion is “Bachelor Degree in any discipline”.
