Introduction

This programme focuses on skill development based higher education leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) degree with multiple entry and exit points. Its objective is to provide judicious mix of skills relating to a profession and appropriate content of general education, so that they are work ready at each exit point of the programme. It also integrates NSQF within the undergraduate level of higher education in order to enhance employability of the graduates and meet industry requirement. The curriculum in each of the semesters / years of the programme would be a suitable mix of the General Education Components (GEC) and Skill Education Components (SEC) in a fixed ratio of 40:60. The main aim of this program is to develop industry-specific skills in students. This course is known to develop skilled banking and finance professionals each year. As the name suggests, this course deals with banking and finance sector. In India, there exists different types of banking education programs. These academic and training programs belong to different levels such as – UG level, PG level and Doctoral Degree level.

B.Voc in Banking Finance Services and Insurances (BFSI) is an undergraduate level course. BFSI program will train you in various aspects related to banking and its allied areas. The program covers topics such as – banking, finance, insurance, investment, risk management, computer application, IT and more. Banking sector is growing at a healthy pace in India. This sector is known to generate ample amount of job opportunities.

BFSI sector in India is valued at Rs. 81 trillion and is likely to become fifth largest in the world by the year 2020 and third largest by the year 2025. Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) is set to grow exponentially in India due to the rising per capita income, the introduction of new products, innovation in technology, expanding distribution, networking and increasing customer awareness of financial products. The demand of skilled professionals in this sector is ever increasing. Digital Technology has facilitated the recent surge in growth of this sector.
