Expert Lecture on Sheet Metal Forming

Mr. Praveen Kumar, Assistant Professor DITE was invited as the Expert by Community College of Skill Development J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology to deliver an Expert Lecture on Sheet Metal Forming which the College organised at Room no. 302 of the College on 29^th October 2018. Dr. Sanjeev Goyal, Principal of Community College of Skill Development introduced him to the students’ fraternity of the institution.

Giving an Introductory Note on The Uses of Sheet Metal in Industry, Mr. Kumar explained each one of the topics in comprehensive detail to the students, majority of who were from Bachelor in Vocational Automobiles and Bachelor in Vocational Manufacturing. He then went on to talk about the various processes involved in Sheet Metal Forming. He did this by visiting each process one by one and answering the students’ queries as and when required. Pointing out the importance of being updated he briefed about the Advancements in Sheet Metal Industry.

The Expert concluded the lecture by calling for a short interactive session in which the students participated with great enthusiasm. Over all, the lecture was proven to be highly resourceful for the students of Bachelor in Vocational Automobiles and Bachelor in Vocational Manufacturing in particular and of all other departments in general.

Expert Lecture on Networking

TheCommunity College of Skill Development J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology organised an Expert Lecture on the Subject of Networking for the students of Bachelor in Vocational Web Development and Diploma in Computer Software Hardware Networking on 20^th November 2018. The speaker of the lecture was Mr. Pankaj Munjal who is the Director of Dot Networking Solutions and was introduced by Dr. Sanjeev Goyal,Principal of Community College of Skill Development. The venue of the lecture was MMC Hall J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology.

The major concern of the lecture was to develop awareness about the basic trends in Networking among the students. The speaker introduced Computer Networks and went on to talk about various Peripherals in Networking. He also dealt with the working of Internet. The System of Domain Naming was also explained to the students who benefited much through it by getting knowledge about the easy access to the Internet. The lecture was concluded by enabling the students understand various trends in Website Development Web Portals and Internet Browsers along with the types of Search Engines and suitable Internet Connections for various platforms.

Mr. Munjal gave first-hand examples from his own experiences on and about the topics. The students explored hidden knowledge through the lecture for practical and efficient usage of the Internet and Networking Systems.

Expert Lecture on Electrical Maintenance

On 21^st November 2018 the Community College of Skill Development J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology witnessed a landmark Expert Lecture on Electrical Maintenance and its Importance which was attended by an active crowd of students from Diploma in Electricals along with the students of various other courses at Lecture Hall of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology. Mr. Sandeep Dutta, Module Head of Plant Engineering and Maintenance Escorts Ltd was the speaker of the lecture. He was introduced by Dr. Sanjeev Goyal, Principal of Community College of Skill Development. The venue of the lecture was Lecture Hall, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology.

The main interest of the lecture revolved in and around the importance of maintenance of electrical and allied equipments in an industry. The students explored how Preventive Maintenance plays a vital role in prevention of loss in the installed equipments by interacting and clearing doubts with the expert. Mr. Dutta also talked in detail about the steps such as Testing Maintenance Fixation and Replacement of the elements. He also dedicated valuable words on Automation.

The students got a practical and first-hand knowledge about Electrical Maintenance in a step-wise comprehensive manner. They achieved a confidence in dealing with real-life industrial problems concerning Electrical Maintenance and its various constituents.

This much waitedfor lecture proved to be extremely helpful for the students who want to excel in their respective fields. They came up with active innovative ideas and enlightened scopes with the help of the speaker in the arena of Operational System.

Expert Lecture on Operating System

An Expert Lecture on the theme of Operating System was conducted by the Community College of Skill Development, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology on 27^th November 2018 which witnessed an active participation by the students of Bachelor in Vocational Web Development and Diploma in Computer Software Hardware and Networking. Mr. Pankaj Munjal Director of Dot Networking Solutions was the speaker of the lecture. He was introduced by Dr. Sanjeev Goyal Principal of Community College of Skill Development. The venue of the lecture was Lecture Hall, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology.

The prime focus of the lecture was on the types of Operating System which was introduced by the speaker. Mr. Munjal then continued by pointing out the need of Operating System in professional as well as personal lives of the current generation. The structural and functional implications of Operating System were also dealt with in detail to the students of Bachelor in Vocational Web Development and Diploma in Computer Software Hardware and Networking.

The students got an enhanced exposure to the latest developments in the fields of Operating System. They also had a one-to-one conference with the expert, thus clearing doubts about the topics concerned.

Expert Lecture on Motivational Spirit

The Community College of Skill Development J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology witnessed a landmark Expert Lecture on Motivational Spirit on the 19^th of December 2018 which was attended by the students of various courses at MMC,J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology. Mr. S.B. Kumar,CEO RSB Engg. Consultant was the speaker of the lecture. Dr. Sanjeev Goyal, Principal of Community College of Skill Development. The venue of the lecture was Lecture Hall J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology introduced him to the students.

The lecture was meant to prepare the students for professional lives by inculcating positive and motivating attitudes in them. Mr. Kumar therefore dealt with the common problems which a fresh work force may face at an industrial platform. The expert shared his first-hand experiences with the students and motivated them to deal with real life problems. This face-to-face communication enabled the students to develop an optimistic and innovating approach towards the professional lives. Above all, the lecture aimed at and succeeded in preparing an industrial work-force. A cheered up crowd of students concluded the lecture by interacting with the expert at individual bases. A transformation in their attitudes could be traced by the end of the lecture which has the potential to continue throughout in future in various walks of their lives.

Expert Lecture on Testing and Inspection

The Community College of Skill Development, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology conducted an Industrial Visit to MultiTech Products Pvt. Ltd where the students performed various tests on Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and Co- Ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).An expert lecture was also delivered therein on these topics with live demonstration by Mr. B.S. Bahl, Trainer MultiTech on the 17^th of December in 2018 at the premises of MultiTech Products Pvt. Ltd.

The Lecture was purposed to enhance the knowledge on Universal Testing Machines, Co-Ordinate Measuring Machines, Robotic Welding and various Sheet Metal Operations by different press machines among the students of Bachelor in Vocational Automobiles and Bachelor in Vocational Manufacturing. The students also operated the machines for testing through UTM which gave them the much-needed practical experience. Not only this, the Expert also encouraged the students for various practical participations in CMM Operations and Measurements also. Mr. Bahl concluded the session by sorting out the problems faced by the students while doing the practical works.

Ultimately, the Lecture was very relevant to cater the practical as well as theoretical needs of the students in the fields of testing, inspection and sheet metal operations. The students came up with innovative ideas and energy regarding the themes after gaining industrial exposure.
